Sierra Staffing Group has partnered with a mission-driven Nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing its vision through impactful programming, strong community partnerships, and sustainable growth. The organization is seeking a dynamic and strategic Executive Director to lead its next phase of development and impact.
Position SummaryThe Executive Director serves as the chief executive and strategic leader of the organization. This individual will champion the mission and vision, provide organizational leadership, drive fundraising and community engagement efforts, and ensure sound financial and operational management. The Executive Director reports directly to the Board of Directors and works collaboratively with staff, stakeholders, donors, and community partners.
Key Responsibilities Mission & Strategic Leadership- Provide visionary leadership aligned with the organization’s mission and long-term strategic goals
- Partner with the Board of Directors to develop and implement strategic plans
- Serve as the primary ambassador and advocate for the organization in the community
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and mission-driven performance
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure effective program delivery
- Establish clear performance goals and professional development pathways
- Promote an inclusive, positive, and transparent organizational culture
- Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including major gifts, grants, corporate sponsor ships, and special events
- Cultivate and steward relationships with donors, foundations, and community partners
- Partner with the Board to strengthen donor engagement and philanthropic growth
- Identify new funding opportunities to ensure long-term sustainability
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, stakeholders, and partner organizations
- Represent the organization at public events, meetings, and speaking engagements
- Enhance visibility and community impact through strategic outreach initiatives
- Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation in collaboration with finance staff and/or external partners
- Ensure sound fiscal management and compliance with nonprofit regulations
- Provide regular financial and operational reports to the Board
- Maintain transparency and accountability in all financial practices
- Demonstrated experience managing and developing teams
- Proven success in fundraising and donor relationship management
- Experience overseeing budgets and financial performance
- Strong strategic planning and organizational development skills
- Knowledge of nonprofit compliance and governance best practices
- Experience working directly with a Board of Directors
