This Registered Nurse PACU opportunity is per diem and offers a convenient schedule. The RN will work in a PACU environment and provide direct patient care to infant through geriatric populations. Responsibilities include addressing the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment, assisting with maintenance of PHA and PACU equipment and inventory, participating in performance improvement activities, assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of patients undergoing surgical, pain management, and endoscopic procedures, monitoring patient physiological status in the immediate postoperative environment, communicating with surgeon and anesthesiologist as needed, interceding to maintain optimum homeostasis, proficient in pain management guidelines and medication dosing, and maintaining regulatory agency requirements, nursing and hospital policies, procedures and standards.

• Demonstrates supportive behaviors necessary for performing bedside report using IMAP & SBAR
• Perform head‑to‑toe pre‑procedure assessment on all patients and reassess post‑procedure as needed
• Ability to formulate an individualized plan of care as indicated and evaluate for effectiveness.
• Adequately assess and reassess pain; utilizes appropriate pain management techniques.
• Educates the patient and family regarding pain management

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN‑approved RN program
• Current Nevada nursing license
• Current BLS certificate
• Prefer one year full‑time or three years part‑time experience in an acute care PACU setting
• Current ACLS required
• Handle with Care (or obtained within six months of employment) in required specialty
• Must successfully pass any pre‑employment assessment(s) required by the facility
