Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides specialized nursing care for patients undergoing cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries. Collaborates with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes through skilled clinical support and postoperative care. Maintains compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess preoperative patient conditions to plan tailored nursing interventions.
• Assist surgical teams during cardiovascular and thoracic procedures.
• Monitor patient vitals and responses throughout perioperative phases.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Document patient progress and surgical details accurately.
• Educate patients and families on postoperative care and recovery plans.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Possess specialized certification in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing.
• Demonstrate minimum of 2 years of perioperative nursing experience.
• Exhibit strong clinical assessment and technical skills.
• Maintain current knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and safety protocols.
