Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department, per diem, flexible schedule.
Responsibilities- Provide direct and indirect patient care with compassion and respect.
- Communicate with physicians about changes in patient status.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
- Perform general nursing duties in all departments with supervision.
- Float to all units as needed.
- Provide head‑to‑toe assessment and reassessments on all patients (pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, general).
- Use triage process to assign timely and appropriate care; accurately assign triage categories.
- Assess and reassess pain; use appropriate pain management techniques.
- Educate patients and families regarding pain management.
- Consult with other specialists as required and adjust nursing care procedures to ensure optimal patient care.
- Current Nevada nursing license.
- ACLS & BLS certificate.
- PALS certificate (to be obtained within six months of employment).
- At least 2.5 years of ER experience required.
