Fusion Medical Staffing‑Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU – Neonatal Intensive Care for a 13‑week assignment in Reno, Nevada.

- Shift: 8 hours, nights

- Assesses and monitors critically ill and premature newborns, documenting conditions and responses.
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved neonatal nursing techniques.
- Performs neonatal assessments, including vital signs, weight checks, and specialized neonatal screenings.
- Operates and manages advanced NICU equipment such as ventilators, CPAP machines, and infusion pumps.
- Assists with life‑saving procedures including umbilical line placement and intubation.
- Educates and supports parents on neonatal care, feeding techniques and developmental care.
- Prepares equipment and assists physicians during examinations and procedures.
- Develops individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Adheres to infection control measures and hospital safety protocols.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to optimize neonatal outcomes.
- Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.
- One year of recent neonatal intensive care RN experience.
- Valid RN licence in compliance with state regulations.
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient in reading and understanding written instructions, verbal instructions, and PC skills.
- Physical ability to remain stationary, move about, move equipment up to 100 lbs, and perform fine manipulation.
- Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing Certification (RNC‑NIC).
- PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification.
- Other relevant certifications and licences.
- Critical thinking and service excellence.
- Good interpersonal communication.
- English language proficiency.
- Computer literacy.
- Physical stamina and ability to handle irregular activity schedules.
