Position: Travel Nurse RN - NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care - $2,467 per week

Fusion Medical Staffing‑Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU – Neonatal Intensive Care for a 13‑week assignment in Reno, Nevada.

Responsibilities
  • Assesses and monitors critically ill and premature newborns, documenting conditions and responses.
  • Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved neonatal nursing techniques.
  • Performs neonatal assessments, including vital signs, weight checks, and specialized neonatal screenings.
  • Operates and manages advanced NICU equipment such as ventilators, CPAP machines, and infusion pumps.
  • Assists with life‑saving procedures including umbilical line placement and intubation.
  • Educates and supports parents on neonatal care, feeding techniques and developmental care.
  • Prepares equipment and assists physicians during examinations and procedures.
  • Develops individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Adheres to infection control measures and hospital safety protocols.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to optimize neonatal outcomes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.
Required Qualifications
  • One year of recent neonatal intensive care RN experience.
  • Valid RN licence in compliance with state regulations.
  • Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
  • Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding written instructions, verbal instructions, and PC skills.
  • Physical ability to remain stationary, move about, move equipment up to 100 lbs, and perform fine manipulation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing Certification (RNC‑NIC).
  • PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification.
  • Other relevant certifications and licences.
