Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Nevada license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No previous experience allowed for Staff at Program:
Health Trust Program - Renown Health and no current placement allowed at Program:
Health Trust Program - Renown Health.

Additional Details:

Required Credentials:

- Telemetry competency exam required, including identifying and measuring rhythm strips; failure of the exam will result in contract termination.

Unit Details:

- Telemetry unit cares for patients with CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMI, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, and Covid.

- Includes care of post-procedure patients such as pacemakers, ablations, cath lab, and OHS patients once downgraded from ICU.

- Uses non-titratable cardiac medication drips including Cardizem, Lasix, and Nitro.

- Provides care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Shift & Scheduling:

- No call.

- Schedule can include weekends and major holidays.

- May be required to pick up one additional shift during the schedule period.

Floating Requirements:

- May float to intensive care units for a telemetry/medically appropriate assignment, medical-surgical units, and Renown Regional.

- Travelers may be required to float to the needs of the organization up to their competency level.

7 days maximum time off

2 references required from within the last 2 years
