Ambulatory Care Registered Nurse; Part-Time or Per Diem

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the DSU and PHA (preoperative holding area) environment.
• Communicate with physicians, Nurse Manager, director, and co‑workers about changes in patients’ clinical condition, diagnostic studies, and symptomatology.
• Perform general nursing duties in all departments under adequate supervision.
• Perform head‑to‑toe assessment and reassessments per policy.
• Establish plan of care as indicated by physician orders and patient condition.
• Identify and address psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and religious/spiritual needs of patients and families.
• Serve as liaison between administration, patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
• Interact professionally with patients/families and involve them in the formation of the plan of care and discharge plan.
