This Cath Lab Registered Nurse OR CATH LAB RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST opportunity is full time at 40 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient flexible schedule.

The Cath Lab Registered Nurse:

• Provides direct patient care to adult patient populations.
• Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the procedural/interventional environment.
• This position communicates effectively with the physician and team members about patient condition.
• Assesses procedure room for equipment functioning and readiness.
• Assists in obtaining supplies for individual cases and ensuring all appropriate needs of the cardiovascular lab team are met.
• Monitors, positions and assists patient during procedure as well as administers moderate sedation under the guidance of the Physician.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.

OR The Cardiovasculare Lab Radiological Technologist:

• Responsible for performing cardiovascular and interventional radiological procedures.
• Performs radiographic diagnostic and interventional procedures in the interventional service line, upon the order of a licensed practitioner.
• Provides for optimal patient care applying departmental standards and protocols.
• Exercises professional judgement in performance of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology procedures.
• Provides appropriate patient care and recognized patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Responsible for admitting, recovering and discharging of patients from the Cardiovascular Lab.
• Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other health team members as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
• Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy. This includes post-procedure assessments.
• Approaches patient in a kind, gentle manner. Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity.
• Identifies and addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and religious/spiritual needs of patients and their families.
