Registered Nurse PACU OverviewThis Registered Nurse PACU opportunity is part time, offers full benefits, and has a convenient schedule. The RN will function in a PACU environment, providing direct patient care to infants through geriatric populations, addressing psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of post‑operative care, assisting with equipment and inventory, and participating in performance improvement activities. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients undergoing surgical, pain management, and endoscopic procedures, monitors physiological status post‑operatively, and communicates with surgeons and anesthesiologists as needed.
Job Duties / Responsibilities- Demonstrate supportive behaviors necessary for bedside report using IMAP & SBAR.
- Perform head‑to‑toe pre‑procedure assessment on all patients and reassess post‑procedure as needed.
- Formulate an individualized plan of care and evaluate its effectiveness.
- Adequately assess and reassess pain, utilizing appropriate pain management techniques.
- Educate the patient and family regarding pain management.

- Graduate of an accredited or NLN‑approved RN program.
- Current Nevada nursing license.
- Current BLS certificate.
- Prefer one year full‑time or three years part‑time experience in an acute care PACU setting.
- Current ACLS certification required.
- Handle with Care (or obtain within six months of employment) in required specialty.
- Successfully pass any pre‑employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
