Position Overview

Nurse Practitioner - Crisis Care Center

Renown Health is Nevada's largest locally owned, not-for-profit health network, serving a population of over 750,000 in northern Nevada, Lake Tahoe, and northeast California. This new Crisis Care Center will provide assistance and resources to individuals experiencing mental health challenges and crises.

• Full‑time employed position with Renown Medical Group as a Provider.
• Dedicated team including NPs, RNs, LCSW, Peer Support Specialists, and Security Officer.
• Address significant community need and improve access to mental health and addiction treatment by connecting adults to the right care.
• Reduce the number of adult psychiatric and addiction patients treated in Renown Emergency Departments to open beds for other individuals with medical needs.
• Maintain communication with patients treated at the Crisis Care Center for at least one year to track recidivism and progress of care coordination.
• Electronic Medical Record: EPIC.
• Formal academic affiliation with the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine / Renown.

• Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years as an RN.
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner (preferred).
  • Prior experience or strong interest in the Behavioral Health field.
• Licensure: ability to obtain and maintain State of Nevada licensure, Controlled Substance License, and DEA as a Nurse Practitioner.
