Responsibilities
Northwest Specialty Hospital, an extension of Northern Nevada Medical Center, provides adult behavioral health services at 6225 Sharlands Ave., Northwest Reno.
The Detox Center will be managed through a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, CNAs, social workers, and therapists. Patients will experience an individualized care plan with individual and family therapy, activities, medication management, and a 24‑hour secure, compassionate environment.
This registered nurse or LPN opportunity is full time, offers full benefits, and a convenient flexible day shift schedule. It is a detox unit RN or LPN that will help provide safe and compassionate care to patients in the medical/telemetry environment. Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Involves the patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population specific, and diversity needs in care assessment.
- Constructs and implements the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill, integrating direct and indirect patient care activities related to the diagnosis and comorbidities.
- Collaborates with the patient’s designated care partner to meet the educational, physical, psychological, and spiritual needs of the patient.

- Current NV RN or LPN license.
- Current BLS certificate.
- One year full time or three years part time experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.
