Schedule / Job TypeContract (13 Weeks) | Travel | Full-Time | 4x10s, Monday–Thursday, 06:45–19:15 | On-site | Call Required
Key Responsibilities- Provide optimal patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation across adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
- Deliver comprehensive nursing services in a Level II Trauma Operating Room environment consisting of 18 ORs
- Support a wide range of surgical procedures including trauma, neurosurgery, robotic (Da Vinci Xi), urology, vascular, open heart, general surgery, orthopedic trauma, pediatrics, plastics, and ENT
- Coordinate care across interdisciplinary teams and serve as an accountable provider for individualized patient outcomes over the entire episode of care
- Demonstrate cognitive and psychosocial competency specific to the patient population served, including neonates through geriatrics
- Participate in on-call responsibilities as required by the department
- Active Nevada State RN license required prior to start date
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Trauma OR setting
- Competency assessment (CMP) completed within 1 year of start date (applicable to Pre-op/Recovery, PACU, OR, and SDS roles)
- Experience with robotic-assisted surgical procedures, including Da Vinci Xi systems
- Familiarity with neurosurgical procedures such as ACDF, spinal fusions, and cranial procedures
- Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced trauma center environment comparable to a Level I facility
- Work in a high-acuity, fast-paced Level II Trauma OR serving a broad regional patient population with access to advanced surgical technologies and complex case variety
- Gain experience in a comprehensive surgical environment that includes robotic surgery, neurosciences, cardiovascular care, and pediatric services
