About the Position

Travel Nurse Source  is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified NICU RN in Reno, Nevada, 89502!

Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – NICU

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide optimal patient care utilizing knowledge and skills within the context of the nursing process, with accountability for individualized patient outcomes over an entire episode of care
  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for neonatal patients and their families
  • Demonstrate cognitive and psychosocial competency specific to the neonatal population and meet unit age-specific competency standards
  • Coordinate care between interdisciplinary professionals as needed, incorporating family-centered care principles
  • Operate and monitor ventilator equipment and other advanced NICU technologies as required
  • Float to other areas of the organization up to competency level as needed, including availability for weekends, holidays, and call shifts
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada RN license prior to start
  • Current BLS certification
  • Minimum of 3 years of exclusive NICU experience in a Level III NICU or higher
  • Ventilator training and demonstrated competency
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience working in a high-acuity, high-volume NICU environment
  • Familiarity with travel nursing expectations including flexible scheduling and departmental float requirements
