Location: 7515 SKY VISTA PARKWAY, RENO, Nevada; NNHS - ER at North Valleys

Salary: $41.90/hr – $61.27/hr this range reflects pay transparency and complies with applicable laws. Salary offers may be based on education and related experience.

Job Summary

ER Registered Nurse opportunity is part time (24 hours per week) with a convenient night shift schedule, offering full benefits. The RN will provide professional nursing care within the Emergency Department, coordinate care planning with other disciplines, and address the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care. Responsibilities include determining priorities, communicating changes to ED physicians, and responding quickly and accurately to patient condition changes.

Minimum

/ Preferred Requirements
  • Current NV RN License
  • Two to three years experience in the emergency department or two to three years critical care experience or extensive EMS background experience
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Current ACLS Certification (within 6 months of hire)
  • Current PALS Certification (within 6 months of hire)
Job Responsibilities / Duties
  • Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required, and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Performs head‑to‑toe assessments on all patients and reassessments per policy, including pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and general patient populations.
  • Uses triage processes to ensure timely and appropriate care to patients and accurately assigns triage categories.
  • Monitors hemodynamic status of patients and correctly interprets results.
  • Assesses and reassesses pain, utilizes appropriate pain management techniques, and educates patients and families regarding pain management.
