As the Clinical Nurse Educator for Perioperative Services, you will serve as a clinical leader, educator, and consultant for Operating Room nursing staff and interdisciplinary surgical teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Design, coordinate, and deliver onboarding, orientation, and ongoing education programs for perioperative staff.
• Lead competency assessment and validation programs to ensure clinical excellence and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with surgical services leadership to identify educational needs and develop targeted learning initiatives.
• Mentor and coach nurses throughout their professional development journey, from novice to expert practice.
• Support evidence‑based nursing practice and promote the adoption of best practices within the perioperative setting.
• Develop and implement educational strategies related to surgical procedures, advanced technology, patient safety, infection prevention, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Facilitate classroom instruction, simulation experiences, hands‑on clinical training, and individualized learning plans.
• Evaluate educational outcomes and use data to continuously improve staff development programs.
• Serve as a resource for clinical staff, leadership, and interdisciplinary teams regarding perioperative nursing practice standards.
• Support accreditation, regulatory readiness, and organizational quality and patient safety goals.

The Operating Room is one of the most complex and dynamic environments in healthcare. The Clinical Nurse Educator plays a pivotal role in ensuring nurses are equipped with the knowledge, technical expertise, and critical thinking skills necessary to provide safe, high‑quality surgical care.

Your leadership will directly impact team performance, staff engagement, clinical competency, and ultimately the patient experience.

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related healthcare field
• Current Nevada Registered Nurse license or ability to obtain upon hire
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association

• Master's Degree in Nursing, Education, or related healthcare field
• Recent Operating Room or Perioperative nursing experience
• Experience in staff development, clinical education, precepting, or competency management
• Knowledge of perioperative standards, evidence‑based practice, and regulatory requirements
• CNOR certification preferred
