Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Per Diem
This opportunity offers a flexible schedule and a dual clinical and managerial role. Responsibilities include direct patient care, indirect patient care, staff hiring participation, and communication with physicians, nurse managers, directors, and co-workers. The RN will respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response.
Job Duties & Responsibilities- Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required, and adjusts nursing care processes to ensure optimal patient care.
- Performs a head‑to‑toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy, including pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and general populations.
- Assesses and reassesses pain, utilizes appropriate pain management techniques, and educates patients and families regarding pain management.
- Uses the triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care, accurately assigning triage categories.
- 2 years of ED experience required.
- Current RN license within the state of practice.
- Current BCLS certification.
- ACLS certification within six (6) months of hire.
- PALS certification within six (6) months of hire.
- Optional ENPC and TNCC certifications.
