This ICU Registered Nurse position is part‑time, offering a convenient, flexible daytime schedule. The nurse will provide safe, competent care for ICU patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy and will serve as a professional leader and supporter of the healthcare team, with the Patient Centered Care concept as a foundation.
Job Duties & Responsibilities- Involve the patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population‑specific, and diversity needs in care assessment.
- Construct and implement the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill, integrating direct and indirect patient care activities related to the diagnosis and comorbidities.
- Coordinate the implementation of the interdisciplinary plan of care for assigned patients; develop goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans that meet individual patient/family needs.
- Consistently complete hourly rounds with purpose to strengthen nurse communication, improve safety, and anticipate patient needs such as pain management, repositioning, and toileting; evaluate the environment to ensure a patient‑friendly and safe setting.
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN‑approved RN program.
- Current Nevada nursing license.
- Current ACLS & BLS certificates.
- Prefer one year of full‑time or three years of part‑time experience in an acute care setting.
- Handle with Care certification (or to be obtained within six months of employment).
