Float Pool Registered Nurse (Med/Surg/Tele)

Full‑time float‑pool registered nurse position at Northern Nevada Medical Center. Provide direct and indirect patient care on Med/Surg/Tele units, supporting nursing staff and maintaining high quality of care for all patients.

• Perform bedside reports using IMAP & SBAR with patient participation.
• Provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes, consult with specialists, and adjust nursing care processes to ensure optimal patient care.
• Conduct head‑to‑toe assessments on all patients, including pediatric, adolescent, geriatric and general adult populations.
• Assess and reassess pain, utilize appropriate pain‑management techniques, and educate patients and families about pain control.
• Communicate with physicians regarding changes in patient condition and respond quickly and accurately to clinical changes.
• Perform general nursing duties across all departments with adequate supervision, and be willing to float to Med/Surg/Tele units.

• At least 2 years of acute‑care nursing experience.
• Current Nevada nursing license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificates.
