About The Position

Travel Nurse Source  is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified NICU RN in Reno, Nevada, 89502!

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide optimal patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for neonatal patients in a Level 3 or higher NICU setting.
  • Deliver comprehensive nursing services to neonatal patients and their families, ensuring individualized patient outcomes across the entire episode of care.
  • Demonstrate cognitive and psychosocial competency specific to the neonatal population, meeting unit and department age-specific competency standards.
  • Operate and manage ventilator support for neonatal patients in accordance with clinical protocols.
  • Coordinate care with interdisciplinary professionals and incorporate family-centered care principles into assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
  • Float to other areas of the organization as needed, up to competency level, and fulfill additional shift requirements per scheduling period.
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada RN license prior to start.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of exclusive NICU experience in a Level 3 NICU or higher.
  • Ventilator training and demonstrated competency in neonatal ventilator management.
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience working in a high-acuity, high-volume neonatal intensive care environment.
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends, holidays, and call shifts as needed by the department.
