About the PositionRegistered Nurse PACU opportunity is part‑time at 20 hours per week. The position offers full benefits and a convenient day shift schedule. Responsibilities include caring for patients from infants to geriatric populations in the post‑anesthesia care unit, assisting with equipment and inventory, and participating in continuous improvement activities.
Responsibilities- Provides direct patient care to infant through geriatric patient populations.
- Addresses psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment.
- Assists with the maintenance of PHA and PACU equipment and inventory.
- Participates in performance improvement activities.
- Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the care of patients undergoing surgical, pain management, and endoscopic procedures.
- Monitors patient’s physiological status in the immediate postoperative environment.
- Communicates with surgeon and anesthesiologist immediately and as needed about patient condition.
- Maintains regulatory agency requirements, nursing and hospital policies, procedures and standards.
- Formulates an individualized plan of care and evaluates it for effectiveness.
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN‑approved RN program.
- Current Nevada nursing license.
- Prefer one year full‑time or three years part‑time experience in an acute care PACU setting.
- Handle with Care (or obtained within six months of employment) in the required specialty.
- Must successfully pass any pre‑employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
