Responsibilities
This Emergency Department Registered Nurse opportunity is per diem and offers a convenient flexible night shift schedule. This position performs a dual function, both clinical and managerial. The RN provides direct and indirect patient care in the clinical setting, participates in staff hiring, and communicates with physicians, Nurse Manager, Director, and co‑workers about changes in a patient’s clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
The RN is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
- Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required, and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
- Performs a head‑to‑toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy. This includes pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and general patient populations.
- Assesses and reassesses pain, utilizes appropriate pain management techniques, and educates the patient and family regarding pain management.
- Uses triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care to patients and accurately assigns triage categories.

- 2 years ED experience required
- Current RN license within the state of practice
- Current BCLS certification
- ACLS certification within six (6) months of hire
- PALS within six (6) months of hire
- ENPC and TNCC optional
