Job Opportunity
This Emergency Department Registered Nurse opportunity is per diem with a flexible night shift schedule. The position performs a dual clinical and managerial role, providing direct and indirect patient care and participating in staff hiring.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes, consult with specialists, and adjust nursing care processes to ensure optimal patient care.
- Perform head-to-toe assessments and reassessments for all patients, including pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and general populations.
- Adequately assess and reassess pain, utilize appropriate pain management techniques, and educate patients and families.
- Use the triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care, accurately assigning triage categories.
- Communicate with physicians, Nurse Manager/Director, and co‑workers about patient condition changes and diagnostic results.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response.
- 2 years Emergency Department experience required.
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- Current BCLS Certification.
- ACLS Certified within six months of hire.
- PALS within six months of hire.
- ENPC and TNCC certifications optional.
