Registered NURSE, Emergency Dept, Per Diem Nights

Job Opportunity

This Emergency Department Registered Nurse opportunity is per diem with a flexible night shift schedule. The position performs a dual clinical and managerial role, providing direct and indirect patient care and participating in staff hiring.

• Provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes, consult with specialists, and adjust nursing care processes to ensure optimal patient care.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments and reassessments for all patients, including pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and general populations.
• Adequately assess and reassess pain, utilize appropriate pain management techniques, and educate patients and families.
• Use the triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care, accurately assigning triage categories.
• Communicate with physicians, Nurse Manager/Director, and co‑workers about patient condition changes and diagnostic results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response.

• 2 years Emergency Department experience required.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Current BCLS Certification.
• ACLS Certified within six months of hire.
• PALS within six months of hire.
• ENPC and TNCC certifications optional.
