Emergency Department Registered Nurse
This full-time position provides professional nursing care within the Emergency Department; coordinates care planning with other disciplines. The role meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care, determines priorities based on patient needs and factors influencing patient flow. Communicates with ED physicians regarding changes in patient status, symptoms, and diagnostic results. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes, consult with other specialists as required, and adjust nursing care processes to ensure optimal patient care.
- Perform head-to-toe assessments on all patients and reassess as per policy, including pediatric, adolescent and geriatric populations.
- Assess and reassess pain; utilize pain management techniques; educate patient and family regarding pain management.
- Utilize triage processes to ensure timely and appropriate care; accurately assign triage categories.

- 2 years ED experience required
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- Current BCLS Certification
- ACLS within six (6) months of hire
- PALS within six (6) months of hire
- ENPC and TNCC optional
