Schedule / Job TypeContract (Travel) | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours per Week Guaranteed
Key Responsibilities- Provide optimal patient care to neonatal patients utilizing knowledge and skills within the context of the nursing process
- Perform comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of neonatal patients and their families/caregivers
- Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems while demonstrating cognitive and psychosocial competency specific to the neonatal population
- Coordinate care between other healthcare professionals as needed throughout the episode of care
- Float to other areas of the organization as needed, up to competency level, based on departmental needs
- Maintain accountability for individualized patient outcomes, exercising sound clinical judgment and decision-making throughout each shift
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada RN license prior to start
- Current BLS certification required
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- Minimum of 3 years of exclusive NICU experience in a Level III NICU or higher
- Ventilator training required
- Experience working in a high-acuity, Level III or Level IV NICU environment
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to variable scheduling including weekends, holidays, and call shifts
