Registered Nurse (RN) - Intermediate Care Unit

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our Intermediate Care Unit. The ideal candidate will provide optimal patient care utilizing the nursing process for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients experiencing severe, yet non-life-threatening conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Provide comprehensive nursing services and maintain high standards of quality and safety.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient-centered care.
• Manage patients requiring moderate levels of nursing vigilance and complex assessments.
• Utilize scientific knowledge to continually grow and improve nursing practice.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of Intermediate Care/Stepdown experience is required.
• Medical/Neuro ICU experience is preferred.
• Experience with vasopressors, titratable drips, art lines, neuro-stepdown patients, procedural sedation, thrombolytics, and trach management.
• Current NV RN license is required prior to start.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
• Must pass an ECG/Telemetry exam, which includes reading/interpreting rhythm strips.
