Job Description:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Telemetry unit will provide optimal patient care utilizing knowledge and skills within the context of the nursing process. The incumbent is accountable for individualized patient outcomes over an entire episode of care, serving adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations along with their families/caregivers.
Responsibilities:
The RN will be responsible for diagnosing and treating human responses to health problems, which includes:
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
- Providing comprehensive nursing services to patients.
- Coordinating care between other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Administering medications and monitoring patient responses.
- Conducting telemetry competency exams, including the ability to identify and measure rhythm strips.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
Minimum of 2 years of telemetry experience. NV RN license required prior to start. Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
