Registered Nurse (RN) - Intermediate Care Unit

Job Description:

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intermediate Care Unit is accountable for individualized patient outcomes throughout the entire episode of care. This position requires assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, focusing on adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations, along with their families and caregivers.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing services to patients with severe, non-life threatening conditions.
• Utilize nursing knowledge and skills within the context of the nursing process.
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals as needed.
• Conduct moderately complex assessments and interventions.
• Maintain a patient-centered approach in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum 2 years of Intermediate Care/Stepdown experience required;
  Medical/Neuro ICU experience preferred.
• NV RN license required prior to start.
• Certifications:
  
  BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Experience with vasopressors, titratable drips, art lines, procedural sedation, thrombolytics, and trach management is necessary.
• Must pass an ECG/Telemetry exam, which includes reading and interpreting rhythm strips.
