Registered Nurse - Same Day Surgery

Assignment Duration:
This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule:

3 x 12 hour variable shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM, or 9:00 AM - 9:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Schedule may include weekends and holidays based on department needs.

Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in Same Day Surgery provides optimal patient care utilizing knowledge and skills within the context of the nursing process. The incumbent is accountable for individualized patient outcomes over an entire episode of care and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families.

• Administer comprehensive nursing services adhering to age-specific competency standards.
• Coordinate care between professionals as needed.
• Provide ongoing assessment and evaluation of patients throughout their care episodes.

• Current NV RN license required prior to start.
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, Pre-op/Recovery RN, PACU, OR, and SDS.
• Must have 2+ years of RN surgery/recovery experience.
