Job Description:
The Registered Nurse in the Med/Tele unit is responsible for providing optimal patient care through the nursing process. This role includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families. The RN will be accountable for individualized patient outcomes throughout the entirety of care.
- Provide comprehensive nursing services to patients in the Med/Tele setting.
- Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems.
- Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Assess the cognitive and psychosocial needs of patients and their families.
- Participate in patient education and advocate for patients' needs.
- Valid NV RN license required prior to start.
- Required certifications: BLS and ACLS.
- Must pass a telemetry competency exam, including identifying and measuring telemetry rhythm strips.
- Minimum of 2+ years of Med Surg/Tele experience.
