Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry, Nights

Reno, Nevada

Contract (13 Weeks) | Travel | Full-Time | Onsite | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours Per Week Guaranteed

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Monitor and manage a patient population that includes CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMI, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, COVID, and post-procedure patients such as pacemakers, ablations, cath lab, and patients downgraded from ICU
• Administer and monitor non-titratable cardiac medication drips including Cardizem, Lasix, and Nitro
• Identify and measure rhythm strips as part of ongoing telemetry monitoring responsibilities
• Coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams in a collaborative, patient-centered environment
• Float to intensive care units, medical-surgical units, or other areas as needed, up to competency level

• Active Nevada Registered Nurse (RN) license required prior to start
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Current NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam, including identification and measurement of rhythm strips, prior to assignment commencement

• Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced acute care or trauma center environment
• Familiarity with post-procedure cardiac patient care including pacemakers, ablations, and open-heart surgery step-down patients
• Experience floating across multiple unit types including ICU and medical-surgical settings

• Work within a Level II Trauma Center and regionally recognized acute care facility offering exposure to a high-acuity, diverse patient population in a state-of-the-art clinical environment
