Job Description:

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the General Surgery department provides optimal patient care utilizing knowledge and skills within the context of the nursing process. The RN is accountable for individualized patient outcomes over an entire episode of care and provides comprehensive nursing services to patients from adolescent to geriatric age groups, including their families and caregivers.

Responsibilities:

• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
• Coordinating care with other healthcare professionals.
• Meeting cognitive and psychosocial needs specific to the patient population served.
• Monitoring and ensuring optimal patient care in a fast-paced, Level II Trauma OR setting.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 2 years of experience in a Trauma OR setting.
• NV State RN license required prior to start.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Additional bloodwork (CMP, CBC with Diff) to be completed prior to start.
