Interior Plant Service Technician

Your Future Role

The Interior Plant Technician’s primary responsibility is to perform interior horticultural maintenance for customers with care and efficiency for both our commercial and residential clients on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. The position supports our objective at Moana Nursery, which is to provide a comprehensive living plant maintenance program that ensures the best possible condition of each plant based on its environment.

In order to ensure the highest level of services are provided, additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

• Upholds Moana Nursery's strict safety policies
• Shows up on time, ready to work
• Exceeds client’s expectations by providing professional, courteous and efficient service at all times.
• Manages assigned client accounts and daily route effectively
• Provides excellent care and service by watering, dusting and grooming plants
• Evaluating soil moisture levels
• Cleaning, washing and shining leaves as necessary
• Keeps track of quarterly fertilization for each account
• Identifies and treats insect and pest problems
• Communicates any special service requests
• Maintains clean vehicle and reports any vehicle issues
• Assists with installations and additional projects as needed
• Ensures a professional appearance, good hygiene and a clean uniform
• Uses time management and organizational skills to prioritize and plan work for the day or week
• Utilizes iCrewTech software to record work hours for each job
• Maintains positive relationships with clients, coworkers and managers

• Applicant must be able to lift up to 25 - 50 lbs. and carry full watering cans regularly
• Applicant must be comfortable using a ladder and working at heights
• Applicant must be able to work alone and as a team
• Applicant must be able to sit, stand, bend, kneel, reach and walk

• High School or equivalent degree
• Clean driving record
• Strong verbal and written communications
• Attention to detail

• Knowledge of tropical/indoor plant care
• Horticulture expertise or Landscape experience
• Problem solving and quick decision making

This position is part-time, Monday - Friday. Hours and schedule is somewhat flexible. Hours may fluctuate depending on business needs.

The starting rate for this position is $16 per hour and increases based on experience, expertise and responsibilities. Other benefits for this role include:
