Quality Control Tech - Day & Night Shifts Available!

Under the direction of the Quality & Safety Manager, this role oversees packaging operations along with hourly and temporary employees to ensure the production of the highest quality products at the lowest possible cost while meeting company standards for quality and performance. The QA Inspector maintains constant quality monitoring during production and guides workflow by monitoring packaging workforce’s quality inspections. Perform quality inspections at regularly prescribed intervals and document accordingly across multiple production lines.

• Perform and document hourly inspections and run profile, retain samples per SOP.
• Monitor mailer production for defects and inaccuracies per quality standards; correct and report any non‑conformities and initiate hold procedure when needed in collaboration with Team Lead and Shift Supervisor.
• Train Packers on QA SOP; conduct audits to ensure quality inspections are performed.
• Work with Packaging Team Lead and Operations to resolve issues per QA SOP.
• Communicate effectively with the upcoming shift to ensure smooth handoff; keep open dialogue with staff to minimize delays.
• Help identify raw material defects, capture relevant information (lot codes, samples, etc.) and forward to Quality Manager.

• Take coaching well and interact respectfully with others.
• Promote a positive teamwork culture and champion company core values.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing (Spanish bilingual a plus).
• Know safety requirements and guidelines in manufacturing/warehouse environment.
• Follow standardized work instructions and understand detailed written/oral instructions.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations and read a ruler, scale, and micrometer.
• Work in a fast‑paced environment with a focus on quality.
• Work overtime as needed daily, or weekends based upon business needs.
• Exposure to moving equipment and high humidity (may exceed 80%).
• Use personal protective equipment as required.

• Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling (up to 45 lbs.)

• Full time

• High school education or equivalent technical school preferred.
• 1 to 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment and/or inspection role preferred.
• Knowledge of packaging production SOPs and quality standards a plus.
