Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Location: Elko, Spring Creek, Carlin, Battle Mountain, Winnemucca, Reno, Fallon
Regional role supporting multiple mining and processing sites throughout Northern Nevada.
- Territory:
Wells, NV to Winnemucca, NV - Relocation assistance available
- Travel required Monday through Thursday
- Previous experience auditing, training, or enforcing safety at active job sites
- Strong safety-focused mindset
- Experience supporting field or operational environments
- Ability to influence and partner with site leadership
- Experience reviewing training records, documentation, and compliance programs
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Mining industry experience
- MSHA knowledge
- Learning & Development (L&D) background
- Workforce compliance program experience
- Training Management System (TMS/LMS) experience
- Experience with in underground mining, surface mining, or mineral processing operations
- Background in construction, oil & gas, energy, manufacturing, chemicals, utilities, or other heavy industrial industries
- Travel to underground, surface, and processing operations
- Audit employee training records and competency programs
- Verify employees are properly trained and qualified for their assigned roles
- Review training metrics, compliance reports, and workforce readiness data
- Interview trainers, supervisors, and frontline employees
- Evaluate training programs against company standards and requirements
- Identify gaps in training effectiveness and compliance
- Partner with site leadership to improve training and workforce readiness
- Document audit findings and provide recommendations for improvement
- Support safety, regulatory, and compliance initiatives across operations
Insight Global is seeking a Training Assurance Specialist for a top mining industry client. This individual will serve as a quality assurance resource focused on workforce training, competency validation, and operational readiness across multiple mining sites. The ideal candidate will travel to underground, surface, and processing operations to evaluate training effectiveness, audit employee qualifications, review compliance documentation, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Rather than acting as the technical expert for every job function, this person will ensure trainers, supervisors, and subject matter experts are delivering effective, compliant, and measurable training programs. This role is highly visible and collaborative, partnering closely with site leadership to strengthen workforce capability, support safety initiatives, and help ensure employees have the knowledge and qualifications needed to perform their work safely and effectively.
