Job DescriptionFull‑time Project Coordinator responsible for overseeing multiple grant‑funded research projects focused on reducing substance use‑related morbidity and mortality. The role supports the Principal Investigator and research group members to achieve study goals and expand the group’s capacity to conduct extramurally‑funded research on substance use.
Primary responsibility will be managing a NIH‑funded longitudinal mixed‑methods study following a cohort of 300 people who use drugs to examine outcomes associated with overdose response. The coordinator may also provide support across additional existing and future projects.
Responsibilities- Lead a team to complete study interviews, conduct monthly participant contact updates, and execute street‑based outreach as per established protocols.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of study data, including qualitative interviews and quantitative surveys.
- Coordinate with the PI, Field Site Director, and other research staff to ensure efficient field site and outreach operations across all projects.
- Create and maintain standard operating procedure manuals for research projects and ensure compliance.
- Manage ongoing meetings of the Community Advisory Board.
- Ensure required grant and other regulatory documentation is completed accurately and submitted to funders and responsible parties by stated deadlines.
- When needed, conduct qualitative and quantitative data collection and/or analysis, independently or collaboratively, to support dissemination of research findings.
- Bachelor’s Degree and at least two years of related experience, or Master’s Degree and at least one year of related experience.
- Related experience includes evaluation and/or research in public health and/or social sciences, project coordination and planning, data collection, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Spanish and English.
Occasional nights and weekends.
Compensation GradeAdministrative Faculty – Grade
B. Salary is competitive and commensurate with related education and experience.
