Jacobs Entertainment, Inc. (JEI) is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager for the All-New J Resort, a full‑service hotel‑casino in Reno.

Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with all F&B Department employees.
- Assist in front‑of‑house operations when necessary (host, server, busser, bartender side work, expediting, etc.).
- Partner with the restaurant GM to ensure accurate and timely completion of financial and payroll‑related administrative duties.
- Ensure staff are knowledgeable about outlet offerings, policies, local events, and corporate procedures.
- Maintain an active presence throughout the restaurant and event spaces—lead line‑ups, conduct daily walk‑throughs, and coordinate REO meetings.
- Manage all restaurant inventories (food, liquor, furniture, supplies) and maintain detailed documentation of quantities, costs, and quality levels.
- Utilize labor effectively to meet budgetary objectives while maintaining high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness.
- Supervise front‑of‑house staff, including interviewing, hiring, training, performance evaluation, addressing complaints, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure consistent high quality of food preparation and service, restaurant cleanliness, uniform standards, and compliance with health regulations.
- Participate in staff training of wines, spirits, cocktails, and elevated beverage services.
- Promote a “from‑scratch” environment in food and beverage offerings.
- Collaborate with the Restaurant Executive Chef to build, plan, and execute a private events program.
- Promote the brand in the local community through word‑of‑mouth and events.
- Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices in an upscale environment.
- Familiarity with restaurant management software (Open Table, Info Genesis, Red Rocks).
- Bachelor’s degree or 3 to 5 years equivalent work experience.
- Relevant experience in upscale buffet, bar, and restaurant environments.
- Minimum age 21 years.
- Clear communication skills in conversational English.
- Prior cash handling experience required.
- Valid identification establishing identity and right to work in the United States.
