General Summary
The Retail Operations Analyst provides complete and accurate documentation, high level testing, reporting, research support, and recommendations of forward movement for United Federal Credit Union Products. The Retail Operations Analyst is responsible for developing and improving retail policy and procedure along with retail & member-facing forms. The Retail Operations Analyst is responsible for extended research needs that involve other departments or vendors.
The Retail Operations Analyst will actively participate in process improvement testing as well as deposit product testing and core systems testing, as necessary. This position is a liaison between our Core System, Products and works jointly with the Operations Departments to ensure that our procedures and products work in tandem with the core.
- Acts as a liaison for Retail Operations to all business lines. Assist management, other credit union departments and stakeholders with special projects and high-level testing for new Products, Process Improvement items and Core enhancements and rollouts. Provide detailed results of outcomes and give recommendations of forward movement. Prepare, compile, and maintain all necessary documentation and research of current and potential system parameters for all Credit Union products.
Time: 50% - Authors retail policy and procedures that are clearly defined and digitally stored in an organized fashion. Ensure policies and procedures are current and relevant to new systems and tools. Works with training to ensure new or updated procedures are properly incorporated into training courses. Develops retail forms and other retail communication documents and other as needed to support the Retail Operations Department.
Time: 30% - Responsible for retail innovation. Evaluate departmental processes and procedures and recommend improvements. Report to Retail Operations Manager any processes requiring improvement. Time: 10%
- Assist and support branch set up consistency to include new branch locations. Time: 10%
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum four years of banking experience
- Operations experience preferred.

Work involves standing and walking for brief periods of time, but most work is done from a seated position. There is potential for eyestrain from prolonged work at the computer and reading detailed reports. Deadlines, workloads, and pressure to achieve goals may cause increased stress levels.
Working ConditionsInternal -- Work is normally performed in climate-controlled office environment, where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, poor ventilation, fumes and gases is limited. Noise level is moderate and includes sounds of normal office equipment (computers, telephones, etc.). No known environmental hazards are encountered in normal performance of duties. Length of day is unpredictable; long hours may be required to accommodate deadlines or special meetings.
External -- Some travel to remote credit union locations may be required; this may include some overnight travel. Environmental conditions are regular office and branch locations of the credit union.
