Parts Specialist

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Follow and promote company customer‑service programs (Hi‑5, Low‑Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot, etc.).
• Promptly greet retail/walk‑in customers in a friendly, courteous manner and assist with merchandise selection.
• Assist managers / installer service specialists in serving professional customers as directed.
• Complete mandatory company training relevant to the position.
• Provide excellent phone service: answer calls, look up parts, quote prices, recommend premium and related items, and offer the Low‑Price Guarantee.
• Accurately maintain and secure the cash drawer, accept cash/checks, make change, and process credit card transactions.
• Process exchanges and returns for credit in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
• Assist with daily image maker, planogram updates, freight receival, stocking shelves, fronting and facing, cleaning, etc.
• Prepare new, core, and warranty merchandise for shipment to the distribution center; assist with monthly stock adjustments and inventory cycle counts.
• Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training and when company requirements are met.
• Perform in‑store services for customers (install wipers, test/charge batteries, test charging system, scan vehicle trouble codes, replace headlight capsules, etc.) where state and local laws allow.
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries, meeting company driving eligibility requirements.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly, professional customer service.
• Ability to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store simultaneously.

• Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, and the Weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service experience.
• ASE certification.
