Security Guard – Armed Government Site – Reno, NV. You will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government. As a Part‑Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you. This is an armed post. You will conduct routine patrols, engage with the public, deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Fully qualified armed applicants are eligible for a $3,000 sign‑on bonus.

Position Type: Part Time.
Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour.
Job Schedule: Saturday 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM;
Sunday 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, utilizing de‑escalation techniques when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including business areas and perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security‑related concerns.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help deter potential threats and offer reassurance to employees and visitors at the location.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other areas for unusual or suspicious activity, reporting findings according to site protocols.
  • Assist with access control by verifying credentials and monitoring the flow of individuals entering and/or leaving the premises.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities accurately in daily reports and/or incident logs as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Respond to alarms and other emergency situations, coordinating with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security‑related matters.
Minimum Requirements
  • At least one year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
