- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solver manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors, public agencies, and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
- Carry authorized firearms and assigned duty equipment in accordance with post orders, training, and applicable regulations while maintaining professional presence and sound judgment during patrol and response duties.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations in line with site procedures.
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
