Position Type: Part Time
Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour
Job Schedule: Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
What You’ll Do- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public-facing spaces, verifying credentials, observing activity, and reporting policy violations, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior according to post orders.
- Support security-related operations by completing required reports, maintaining readiness of issued equipment, and assisting with emergency notifications, evacuations, and/or other site response procedures.
- Three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree, is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- An armed guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
