, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as government and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security‑related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong customer service and communication.

Position type: Full time

Pay rate: $25.00 / hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting relevant details to site contacts and/or local authorities when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public‑facing spaces while verifying access permissions, following post orders, and helping to support orderly operations.
• Assist with security‑related incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance while maintaining awareness of surroundings and following applicable armed post protocols.

• Three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security‑related experience, or a college degree, is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with the company driver policy.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants with criminal histories will be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be required to undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participation in industry‑specific security training programs is required.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
