Overview
Lamar Advertising in Reno, Nevada is hiring an entry-level, full-time Operations crew member to install and maintain billboards for brands in Reno and surrounding areas. This position involves installing advertisements, maintaining structures, and upkeep of billboard cosmetics. The role typically works alone and requires effective schedule management.

- Remove and hang flexes from billboards; remove and hang vinyls; cut and prepare flexes and vinyls for installation; cut, prepare and install copies on Tri-Visions
- Build and install extensions on billboards; cut brush/weeds; conduct storm damage repairs and minor electrical repairs; maintain a clean workshop area
- Use power and manual tools with adherence to safety regulations
- Attend installer and construction safety meetings as required
- Maintain operation vehicles and construction tools, equipment, and machinery
- Take completion photos for proof of installation
- Ability to work alone and manage your schedule effectively
- Willingness to work at heights up to 100 feet above the ground
- Strong communication skills; ability to speak and read English fluently
- Willingness to work and get along well with others
- Basic computer skills including Internet navigation and Microsoft Word & Excel
- Ability to work from ladders and carry ladders/tools to the worksite
- Working knowledge of electrical skills and techniques
- Working knowledge of fabrication skills and techniques
- Ability to read technical documents such as blueprints and diagrams
- Knowledge of Lamar, DOT, and OSHA safety regulations
- Ability to safely use construction equipment
- Ability to climb heights and work safely at heights above ground
- Ability to document installations through photographs and written logs
- Practical mathematics skills related to construction and operations tasks
- Ability to set priorities reflecting the relative importance of job responsibilities
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver’s license required
- OSHA 10-hour Construction course required
- CDL and Non-CDL licenses are a plus but not required
- Experience at heights up to 200 ft preferred
- Construction and/or billboard installation experience is a plus but not required
- Primary work outdoors; may require working in adverse weather and climbing to heights up to 200 ft
- Heavy lifting up to 100 pounds; bending, pushing, reaching, reading (including color distinction), and vision requirements
- Nights away from home traveling less than 10%
- On-call shifts may be required
