Senior Electrician
Location: Reno, NV
Pay Rate: $33-$38+ per hour (commensurate with experience)
Job Type: Full-Time
We are seeking a highly skilled and dependable Senior Electrician to join our commercial operations team. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who can work independently, lead projects on-site, and ensure all electrical work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards. The Senior Electrician will play a key role in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across commercial facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings, including lighting, power distribution, panels, transformers, and control systems
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan and execute electrical work
- Lead and mentor junior electricians and apprentices on job sites
- Troubleshoot complex electrical issues and implement effective solutions
- Ensure all work complies with NEC, local codes, and company safety standards
- Conduct inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance on electrical systems
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to meet project timelines
- Accurately document work performed, materials used, and service reports
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment
- Journeyman or Master Electrician license-a plus
- 7+ years of commercial electrical experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of NEC and commercial electrical systems
- Proven ability to lead projects and work independently
- Experience with conduit bending, panel installations, and commercial lighting systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening (if applicable)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and at heights
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces for extended periods
