Job Description Summary

Mechanic

The mechanic/technician role performs preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on equipment in the safest, most effective way to avoid downtime. The fleet varies by location but primarily includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools and equipment. Some locations may operate large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems and oil/gas related equipment.

Education or experience that prepares you for success:

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired
• 3 to 5 years of mechanic experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities you may rely on:

• May need to provide mechanic’s tools of the trade
• Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting
• Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting
• Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location needs

Physical demands: bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors as required by the job. Base Pay Range: $20.96 - 28.82 per hour. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. Sunbelt also provides a comprehensive benefits package to its full-time employees, including:

You will become eligible for benefits on the first of the month following 30 days from your start date. Vacation, sick and holiday pay are offered subject to Sunbelt’s policies.
