We are looking for a highly energetic, result‑oriented, passionate, and hands‑on team member who is a self‑starter, adaptable, attentive to detail, and able to work with minimal supervision.
What You’ll Do- Installation/decommissioning of network and cabling infrastructure in a data center environment.
- Deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes, always with an eye on improvement.
- Provide structured feedback on project progress to stakeholders.
- Exhibit quality workmanship on all work and maintain data center cleanliness.
- Follow all production, safety and quality standards, codes, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
- Read and comprehend blueprints, building documentation and red‑line work.
- Maintain a broad understanding of data center infrastructure technologies.
- Knowledge and use of basic telecom hand tools.
- Understanding of customer service.
- Clear understanding of job safety requirements.
- Familiarity with wiring schemes and wiring tests.
- Reporting to Operations Manager and taking daily directions from technicians and senior technicians.
- Proficiency in 4‑pair continuity testing.
- Ability to pull all types of low voltage cable including copper telecom cable.
- Experience performing all types of copper field terminations.
- Installation of ladder racking and seismic bracing.
- Patch networking equipment.
- Reading and understanding port maps/matrices.
- Reading and understanding job floor plans and TC drawings.
- Capability to perform field terminations and labeling.
- Installation of copper and fiber cabling and labeling.
- Affixing labels to cabling and power cords.
- Affixing bar coding to equipment.
- Affixing free printed label.
- Cutting and installing threaded rod.
- Cutting and installing Uni‑strut.
- Cutting and installing fiber trough.
- Creating and testing bonding whips, straps, and connections.
- Understanding the basics of “FIM” and operating scanner.
- Installing and testing coax cabling (series 6 & 11).
- Installing OSP cables through conduits and maintenance.
- Installing pull strings through conduits, in ceilings.
- Installing ISP cables through conduits, in ceilings.
- Installing box eliminators (mud rings) in drywall.
- Installing and maintaining fire stopping.
- Understanding and usage of fiber types (SM/MM/Ribbon).
- Installing and servicing network equipment.
- Installing ISP/OSP into cable enclosures (OSE).
- Relocation assistance and sign‑on bonuses may be available for selected positions.
