Job Overview:

The Electrical Laborer supports electricians and field crews in the installation, maintenance, and cleanup of electrical systems on commercial construction job sites. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in the electrical field while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Tasks
-Assist electricians with installation of conduit, wiring, and electrical components

Transport materials, tools, and equipment across job sites

Maintain a clean and safe work environment (jobsite cleanup, debris removal)
Dig trenches, pull wire, and assist with basic electrical tasks under supervision

Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations

Operate basic hand and power tools

Support team members with general labor duties as needed

Ensure safety and efficiency by guiding vehicle drivers and equipment operators in bind spots, tight spaces, or busy environments like construction sites and warehouses.

Compensation:

Rex Moore pays hourly/salary rates commensurate with each employee’s knowledge, experience and skill level.

Work environment:

Active commercial jobsite under construction performing the following:

Wearing of personal protective equipment (PPE), always including a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves,work boots and high viz vest/ shirt

Working around energized equipment

Working days, night, weekends, and overtime as required

Willing and able to work in confined and/or small spaces

Constant collaboration with fellow team members

This role requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain & snow

LOCATION:

Rex Moore and affiliated offices are located throughout California and Nevada.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

Basic understanding of construction tools and safety practices (preferred but not required)
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks

Reliable transportation and punctuality

Patience and the ability to remain calm in the stressful situations

Have good coordination

Physical Requirements:

Frequently required walking for long and short distances, walking from one worksite to another.
