Engineer II-Certified Pool Operator

Overview

Engineer II – responsible for responding to room repair calls and performing maintenance across the entire facility.

• Assist in maintenance of all building systems and equipment, including electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, pneumatic, hydraulic equipment and appliances.
• Inform management staff of problems requiring maintenance and report any equipment deficiencies in a timely manner.
• Communicate with other shifts to follow up on ongoing projects and minimize downtime.
• Respond to accident scenes and emergency calls (e.g., fire, smoke).
• Act as a maintenance representative for the Property Operations department.
• Maintain daily records of work requests, preventative maintenance requests and planned maintenance requests.
• Assist in installing and maintaining various systems.
• Read and understand blueprints, diagrams and technical documents.
• Ensure all systems meet building codes, safety and manufacturer specifications.
• Comply with federal, state and local regulations.
• Use time clocks for accurate record keeping and accountability.

• Minimum 6 months experience or education in maintenance and repair of bodies of water.
• Valid driver’s license.
• General understanding of assembling, installing, maintaining, repairing and servicing various equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively over radio and in person.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products.
• CPO certification preferred.
• Forklift, Scissor Lift or Boom Lift certification preferred.
• Basic understanding of electrical circuits, plumbing and general utility/building repairs.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and occasionally move or lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl for up to 8 hours per day.
• Must be willing to comply with company standards, code of conduct and grooming standards (no visible tattoos, piercings or unnatural hair colors).
• Experience in emergency response is required; may be exposed to smoke-filled environments.
