We are currently hiring an experienced Senior Irrigation Pump Technician
, located in Reno or Winnemucca, NV to support agricultural irrigation customers throughout Nevada and surrounding regions. This is a hands‑on leadership opportunity for someone with strong experience working on vertical turbine pumps, irrigation well systems, agricultural pumping equipment, and water well service operations.

• Starting pay of $28–$32/hour depending on experience (experience technicians can earn up to $90,000+ annually)

This position focuses heavily on agricultural irrigation pump systems supporting farms and ranches throughout Nevada. Approximately 90% of the work involves:

• Pulling and setting vertical turbine pumps
• Troubleshooting agricultural irrigation pump systems
• Installing and removing submersible and turbine pumps
• Conducting pump and well performance testing
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical pump issues
• Using hydraulic, pneumatic, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
• Reading system specifications and evaluating repair needs
• Collecting and documenting pump performance data
• Leading field projects and mentoring junior technicians
  
  Communicating directly with customers, ranch operators, and management teams

This is a true working lead role - you’ll be in the field performing the work alongside your crew while helping train and develop less experienced technicians.

We are specifically seeking candidates with experience in:

• Agricultural irrigation systems
• Vertical turbine pumps
• Water well pump installation and repair
• Irrigation pump troubleshooting
• Municipal or industrial well systems
• Mechanical, drilling, electrical, or heavy equipment operations
• Field service or pump crew leadership

• 2+ years of water well pump or irrigation pump experience
• Experience pulling/setting vertical turbine pumps
  
  CDL Class A license strongly preferred
• Clean driving record
• Ability to travel regularly throughout Nevada and California
• Comfortable working outdoors year‑round
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Leadership mindset with the ability to mentor junior technicians

Candidates currently working in agricultural irrigation, well drilling, pump service, pivot irrigation, municipal water systems, or related industries are highly encouraged to apply.

This role can be based in either Reno, NV or Winnemucca, NV
, with regular travel throughout Nevada and occasional work in California and southern Nevada.
