Position SummaryThe Residential Service Technician troubleshoots and services security systems, configures and programs solutions, and advises customers and the customer care center on system status and inspections. Responsibilities include locating and alleviating trouble with damaged equipment or wiring, readjusting equipment, repairing or replacing inoperative components, and testing for operation. Read blueprints, building and electrical plans as needed to complete equipment repairs; prepare trouble order forms for temporary repairs;
and coordinate inspections and/or installations with police, fire departments, or other appropriate agencies.
- Services fire and carbon monoxide detection, networking, hosted video solutions, and access control.
- Follow and complete required processes for wired/wireless technology and connection procedures.
- Test and validate system signals/communication with central monitoring to properly establish service.
- A customer service champion, demonstrating willingness to help customers fix and understand their protection at home.

The Residence Service Technician is a troubleshooter and service expert who assists customers with security system concerns. The technician advises customers and the customer care center on system status and process inspections.
- Locate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment or wiring.
- Readjust equipment, repair or replace inoperative equipment and test for operation.
- Read blueprints, building and electrical plans to complete equipment repairs.
- Prepare trouble order forms to report temporary repairs.
- Coordinate inspections and/or installations with police, fire departments, or other appropriate agencies.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years experience installing and inspecting/repairing ADT or comparable product line.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to read building electrical and sprinkler plans as required for clearing equipment trouble.
- Standing, stooping, lifting, climbing, crawling.
- Valid driver's license required.

Pay and Benefits Disclosure The pay range for this role is $21.29-$39.43 (plus commission, where necessary) per hour and is based on experience and qualifications. We offer employees access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and paid time off among others. Employees accrue up to 120 hours in their first year.
Your accrual rate increases after your first year. We also offer 6 paid holidays.
